I have secretly begun researching breeders in hopes of acquiring the perfect "baby" as a surprise for my husband's birthday. I honestly believe I can now stop searching because I've found that breeder right here. Your website is absolutely wonderful and is some how different from all the others. There is so much needed information on the breed as well as testimonials from your clients. The love you have for this breed shows in the faces of the BEAUTIFUL Dogue's that you have helped to produce. I'm in love already and I'm sure my husband will be as well when he receives his birthday gift.
Cheryl Maley (Lockport, IL): I just had to drop a note to you. Your website is just spectacular! Your puppies are all adorable, and your adult dogs are beautiful... Looking at your puppies just makes me smile. I had to write to you to comment on how outstanding and knowledgeable your website is on this breed. Your dogs are like I said absolutely beautiful. Of course the puppies are just too cute. I will someday for sure, have another Bordeaux. There's no other breed like it in the world. Pamela Cortese (Minnesota): I meet Mark and his Dogues... when I purchased a female puppy from Von Krenz Bordeaux. We registered her as Von Krenz Rosebud Lady in Red. I call her Gretta. Gretta is a beautiful girl. She has won Best in Breed Puppy at the International All Breed Show. We have taken Obedience and Confirmation classes, which she did very well in. Gretta is very friendly. I take her to visit my 85 year old Grandmother at her senior apartment building, Gretta is very well mannered and loves the visit as much as Grandma does. Gretta is also wonderful with children. She is very sweet and gentle. I now have four dogs from Mark. I own Gretta and I am the Foster Mother to three other females, Nina, Bubbles and Terra. As a child I wanted a herd of dogs, I believe I have accomplished my dream and more. Pam Nicholas Langseth (Grand Forks, ND): My fiancée (Staci) and I visited Mark for several hours... I was very impressed with his kennel. The Dogues were unbelievable. They were very gentle and playful. Staci and I felt right at home with Mark and his Dogues. Mark is very easy going and answered every question we had. After meeting with Mark and his Dogues I know that the DDB is the dog that is right for us and that Marks kennel is where I want to get her. I have never seen anyone at a kennel take such care for his babies as I did see with Mark. I have visited 5 different kennels one DDB (VonKrenz) and 4 English Mastiff breeders. I knew leaving Marks place that I wanted to go through him to get my DDB. Thanks Mark for all the Information. Your Dogues sell themselves but you put the EXCLAMATION point on them! I look forward to a long relationship with you and your Dogues. The Holman Family (Orange County, CA): My Bordeaux search started with questions to my vet and books at the Pet store, it ended when I found Mark Roberts of Von Krenz Bordeaux. I was very impressed with Mark's website and the detailed information and photos of his gorgeous Bordeaux's. My husband and I logged onto Mark's website about 100 times before we finally made the call. He was very professional and extremely helpful. Owning a breed like the Bordeaux isn't for everyone so we wanted to make sure we were going to make good parents. Mark answered all of our crazy questions with honesty and a bit of humor that put us right at ease. After finishing an application and qualifying for a puppy we were on our way!
Mousse will be two years old in August and has come a long way from puppy hood. Mousse showed for the first time at the DDBS Show in Henderson, Nevada last March. Mousse placed third and also completed and passed his Temperament Test. The Judge gave Mousse a, "Very good", and wrote very positive comments. After reading his scores, I realized what a "quality" dog my Husband and I own. I had never shown a dog before so I was thankful to have Mark there. He gave me great pointers on what and what not to do. Mousse had great exposure to other Bordeaux's and received great compliments from the other owners. I was beaming at the attention and felt like such the proud Mom. When I looked over my shoulder, I saw a proud Grandpa Mark as well! Our family can't thank Mark and Patricia enough for our boy Mousse and hope they continue to breed great quality dogue's. Neil Greenberg (Bethesda, MD): It is not often that you can adopt an entire family by purchasing one dogue, but that certainly was the case for me. Mark & Patricia have given me more than a pet Dogue, they have given me a member of my family: Von Krenz Freyja the Valkyrie, aka Pansy. They have also brought me into THEIR family as well. There are MANY things that separates Von Krenz from an ordinary breeder, but the most important for me is the care and integrity that they show with each person and with each dogue. If you are looking for QUALITY then you have come to the right breeder. Candy Falduto (Ft. Walton Beach, FL): If you are lucky enough to adopt a Von Krenz Bordeaux into your family you find something very unique among breeders. J. Edgar has passed the 2 1/2 year mark and Mark STILL keeps in contact with us. My Edgar is the most amazing dogue. Thanks to his early socialization started by Mark and Patricia and continued here, he loves the world and the world loves him. I have seen beautiful dogues from other breeders but I have never seen such healthy, even tempered beauties as the Von Krenz line. Thanks Mark and Patricia, for caring as much as you do. Sandy Watters (Bartlesville, OK): Mark personally delivered our baby to us... How many other breeders do this? I imagine few if any. Odin is a male from a Mugs/Shnookems litter and is gorgeous and well behaved. This is our second Dogue. We lost the first one due to kidney failure, which was probably due to poor breeding from another breeder. So for our second Dogue we sought a reputable breeder who really cared for their animals along with health and bloodline guidelines being respected. Mark does all the above. He loves his babies and is careful where he places all his babies. Mark has such a wonderful website which is so full of good information, but the thing that compelled me to call was the love for his babies, and that is when we decided Mark was the breeder for us. Odin is a great addition to our home. He is wonderful with our girls, 3 and 7, and seems to respect all the family members including my husband and I. Thanks Mark - our home is once again complete! Saul Komisar (Nashville, TN): Mark, we wanted to thank you again for guiding us through the purchase of a Dogue De Bordeaux. Both you and Patricia were very generous with your time, answering all of our many questions. All of your efforts culminated with the purchase of Lucca several months ago. We have really enjoyed him and he has proven to be exactly what we expected: a healthy, well temperamented, beautiful, Dogue de Bordeaux. Again, many thanks to you and keep up the good work. Laura Henry (St. Cloud, MN): I feel very fortunate to have been able to visit the Von Krenz Dogue De Bordeauxs in Afton. What a beautiful, peaceful setting for the Dogues to live! I was impressed by how well behaved and happy they all seemed. The highlight of my day in Afton (besides holding the painfully cute puppies) was walking through the woods with the free roaming Dogues. At first I wondered how Mark could keep them separate so easily - calling out their names without thinking. (We saw saw so many!) Then, it became clearer and clearer how unique each one was - personality wise and physically. The visit made me very sure that I did want to have a Dogue De Bordeaux(s?). I love their friendly personalities more than anything - which is obviously attributed to the love and attention they receive. Their intimidating first impression becomes almost comical when you see how they interact with each other and with people. Thanks for the experience, Mark! |
